Well, here we are! Two weeks ago I decided to make a batch of fire cider. I’ve heard amazing things about this herbal concoction for a while now and wanted to try it for myself. I was super intrigued by the ingredients, especially the horseradish root. With the exception of Sunday morning Bloody Mary cocktails, horseradish is not something I typically have on hand, haha! I am also always looking for more natural remedies to help with cold and flu season and was hoping fire cider would help. So, without further ado, here is my fire cider review!
In short: I love it. When I was initially making the cider, I really believed that it was going to be too spicy to drink. However, the added honey after straining really took the bite out of the tincture. It honestly tastes like a spicier salad dressing now. Regarding the taste, again, I actually find it very pleasant. If you read my my 2023 reset kit post, I talked about drinking a little apple cider vinegar before each meal to help with digestion. Maybe I’ve developed a taste for the vinegar, but I actually really enjoy it and look forward to it every day.
Now, the real test of the fire cider is if it’ll actually help alleviate some cold and flu season symptoms. That will take a while to see, so stay tuned! I’m hoping that the combination of the local organic raw honey, garlic, ginger, fresh herbs, etc., will make a difference! (By itself, even just garlic has so many health benefits!)
So, there you have it! That’s my general fire cider review. I would recommend trying it, even if just for fun to see if you can handle the heat. 😈
Let me know if you try fire cider! (And let me know if you like it!)
