Merry Christmas, everyone! I know it’s not December 25th anymore, but we’re still in the thick of the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas and we’re still celebrating over here.
Unlike most years, this Christmas was simple for us and very easygoing. Now that I am in the home stretch of this pregnancy and well into my third trimester, a quiet Christmas break was much needed. Once I finished all of my gift shopping (which I did mostly online to be picked up in store) we spent the time baking cookies, watching Christmas movies, and just relaxing. I haven’t even really posted anything to Instagram except on my stories. I’ve just been taking the time to slow down and enjoy the season.
I have to be honest: I’m trying to soak in these last few weeks with Daniel as an only-child. He’s been super cuddly lately and I am now wondering if he knows the baby will be here soon. He keeps kissing my belly and it’s just so precious! (For other mamas out there: did your little ones act differently or anything before the arrival of a new baby? I am so curious about this!)
I am very much looking forward to the New Year and all that is coming our way, especially Baby Lopes #2! I think we’ve officially settled on a name and I cannot wait to share more with you all soon.
