Last night I had the pleasure to meet Ashley Flowers and congratulate her on the publication of her debut novel, All Good People Here. As a Crime Junkie, this was such an amazing experience! Flowers hosted a meet-and-greet/book signing at the Bookends Bookstore in Ridgewood, NJ. Considering this was only about an hour from our house, we couldn’t miss this chance.
If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with podcasts. A few years ago I actually did not understand the hype at all about podcasts, and now I am tuned in whenever I workout, cook, clean, etc. (Hey, I’ve even been featured on one!)
Ashley Flowers has been one of my favorite hosts for a while now. I fell in love with Crime Junkie and my obsession just snowballed from there. I have written about her shows before (My Favorite Podcasts Right Now, & A Perfect True Crime Podcast for Summertime) so having the opportunity to meet her was awesome. In general, I have never listened to a podcast by audiochuck that was not completely stellar.
I am very excited to read her debut novel as a way to kick-start Spooky Season. In addition to my love for podcasts, I also love a good crime novel. There is nothing like curling up with a gripping mystery and a cup of hot tea on a cool autumn evening. All Good People Here is the story of a young woman from Indiana who is determined to solve a decades-old case that she believes might be connected to a recent case from the next town over. Stay tuned for my review in the coming days!
If All Good People Here is anything like the podcasts that Flowers writes, hosts, and produces, I am sure that this will be an excellent read and one you’ll not want to miss this Spooky Season.
