Beauty & Health Products I Use Daily

There are some health and beauty products that are essential to my daily routine no matter what I am doing that day. This brief list does not include the makeup that I wear, but I use these products practically every day. Someone recently asked me about my haircare routine and what products I use, so I decided to write a blog post about some of these products and more. Let me know what you think! I am always looking for new products, and I hope some of these are good suggestions for you, too.

Jāsön Healthy Mouth Cinnamon Clove Tartar Control Mouthwash

I initially began using this product after a doctor convinced me that it would help with my sinus problems. (Off topic: Throughout the year for some reason I constantly have sinus issues such as a stuffy nose, swelling, and pain.) I visited a few different doctors about the issue and this one doctor who I saw recommended this specific mouthwash to help. Honestly, since I’ve been using it my sinus issues are much less frequent. Plus, Jāsön is a natural brand and I opt for natural or organic products whenever I can. You can check out the product here.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

My skin does become quite dry, especially during the colder months. I was always looking for a hydrator that would keep my skin moisturized, but also not cause me to break out as my skin is also sensitive. This Moisture Surge from Clinique is the only product that I have found that I really like and meets all of my needs. The jar also lasts super long which is awesome! A little bit really goes a long way. Also, the Moisture Surge genuinely feels good on your face. I apply it at night after I wash my face before bed. You can check out the product here.

Nature’s Truth Essential Oils

Okay, before I started using essential oils I was very skeptical about how they worked and whether or not they were effective. When I became pregnant I searched for natural remedies for things such as insomnia, headaches, etc. I tried avoiding unnecessary doses of any medicine whenever I was able, and thus came across essential oils. (Note: My decision to try and avoid unnecessary medicines is in no way judgmental. I am also not trying to preach or convince others to follow my decisions.) When I was pregnant, like many pregnant women, my insomnia was insane. I was up all night either cleaning or binge watching shows on Netflix, haha. With that being said, a friend of mine told me to check out lavender oil as a part of a bedtime routine and voila! It worked! (Most of the time.) Even after the baby was born I made using this Good Nite essential oil part of my bedtime routine. I also use a lot of their other oils, such as peppermint or eucalyptus, for headaches and congestion.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

I love Burt’s Bees. They are a well-priced American brand that is primarily organic or all-natural. Everything from their baby clothes to dog shampoo is honestly great. One of my favorite products of theirs is their lip balm. I like to use it before bed, and lightly before I do my makeup for the day. You can check out this product here.

Hempz Body Creme

I have enough lotions and creams to open my own beauty store. It is a slight obsession of mine. With that being said, one of my favorite lotion companies is Hempz. They have fun seasonal scents, everyday-use scents, lotions for different purposes, etc. My favorite of theirs is the Triple Moisture. Not only does is smell heavenly, but it is light on the skin and keeps you moisturized all day. It is excellent to use after shaving or right after the shower. The product cannot actually be purchased on their own website, but can be bought at retailers such as Ulta. I have even seen Hempz at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. You can check out the product here.

Thayers Alcohol-Free Cucumber Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Aloe Vera Formula

As part of my daily face care routine, I apply this facial toner after I wash my face and before I put on the Clinique Moisture Surge. I really like the Thayers’ toner because it is not harsh on the face, smells very good, and keeps the skin clear. I personally like the cucumber one best, but Thayers has many different scents such as rose petal and even coconut water. This is also a product that goes a long way.

Hask Argan Oil Repairing Shine Hair Oil

I typically blow my hair out two-three times a week. Naturally my hair is very, very curly. It has a mind of its own! Blowing my hair out is always sort of a pain, but if I even just apply a little bit of this oil to my hair while it it wet before blowdrying it I swear my hair blows out incredibly smooth. Plus, it makes straightening it afterwards very easy.  I also find that this oil keeps my hair light and smooth throughout the day. Hask products can practically be purchased anywhere that sells hair products and they have a lot to choose from.

Dr. Bronner’s Toothpaste

Dr. Bronner’s is another brand I like using because it is a natural brand. Their soaps are really good, too, and I am also a huge fan of their lavender hand sanitizer. The Dr. Bronner’s peppermint toothpaste is 70% organic, made with recyclable materials, cruelty-free, and contains no unnatural added ingredients or flavors. Their toothpaste also comes in cinnamon and anise flavors, but for some reason I like my toothpaste peppermint flavored, haha. Maybe it is a weird traditional thing for me, but I just enjoy this one best. You can check out the product here.

Kenra Professional Platinum Texturizing Taffy

The first time I used this product was after my stylist blew out my hair. I never even knew something like this existed, but it has become my absolute favorite hair product ever. I swear this is what women in Hallmark movies use to ensure their hair does not move. Basically this hair taffy keeps styled hair in place all day. No joke, you can style your hair at 6:30 AM and it will not move. This is another product where a little bit goes a long way. Just adding a dime-sized amount to my hair keeps it in place and bouncy all day. I also love using it before I put my hair up because, again, it keeps my hair in place.

Cetaphil Pro Oil Removing Foam Wash

This is another great product that a doctor recommended to me. Cetaphil has many different formulas for whatever one’s skin needs, and this particular formula works well for my face. Since I’ve been using it I have fewer and fewer breakouts. This is the wash I use before using the Thayers toner and Clinique Moisture Surge lotion. You can pretty much purchase Cetaphil anywhere so that’s great, too!
